OFFICIAL NAME – Bergenia Ligulata
HEALTH BENEFIT – It is useful in treatment of burning micturition and calculus. Also used in leucorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea and menorrhagia. It is good for diarrhoea, haemorrhoids and cardiac disorders.
HOME REMEDY – its paste can be applied on eyes in conjunctivitis. In children it is given with honey during teething.
NUTRITION CONTAIN – antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, wound healing, anti dysentery, uterine tonic.
OTHER NAME – Ashamghan, Pakhanbhed, Silfada, Patharchoor.
FLAVOUR – Taste astringent and bitter.
